National Women’s Association Approves Dallas-Based Member to Continue Her National Leadership Journey

National Women’s Association Approves Dallas-Based Member to Continue Her National Leadership Journey

PRESS RELEASE FROM THE AMERICAN BUSINESS WOMEN’S ASSOCIATION

Dallas, TX – May 1, 2019 – Each year, the American Business Women’s Association (ABWA), provides practical leadership experience, mentorship, and sponsorship to over 1400 leaders. The Dallas-based group of this National Association, the Outlook Positive Express Network (OPEN) is no stranger to developing leaders. In the past five years, OPEN has successfully sponsored three members who served as National leaders within ABWA. The first member ran for U.S. Congress in 2018. The second member is currently the Director of a National non-profit. The third is the current District II Vice President of ABWA. And now, OPEN is ecstatic to announce their sponsorship of Rebecca Dollinger as the 2019 approved candidate for ABWA National Secretary/Treasurer! This journey will allow Rebecca to further her leadership at the National level.

Founded in 1949, ABWA’s mission is to bring together business women of diverse occupations and to provide opportunities to help themselves and others grow personally and professionally through leadership, education, networking support, and national recognition. OPEN, formed in 2004, provides women hands-on leadership experience. OPEN encourages their members to take risks and fearlessly persist, knowing that they have a National network of women supporting them. Each member’s journey in the Association is unique; the commonality is that any engaged member will experience growth. ABWA has always been and will always be a grow YOU Association.

Rebecca’s campaign platform is “Your Voice Matters!” She believes, “Strength comes from challenging yourself and taking risks. Courage comes from following your heart and your dreams. Power comes from realizing your voice matters.” Rebecca is the embodiment of the three tenets of her campaign. Running for a National office in a 70-year-old Association takes equal measures of strength, courage, and power. The authenticity and integrity that radiate from Rebecca when you first meet her are palpable, so it is no wonder that she considers this journey less of a race and more of an uplifting collaboration.

By continuing her National leadership journey, Rebecca hopes to update and implement new policy, influencing women’s lives in a positive manner. Rebecca is a professional copywriter who works with women-owned businesses of all sizes. She writes for companies across the US and internationally. For over 15 years, her passion as “Rebecca Stylewriter” is to paint her clients in the best light in order to heighten their success. Rebecca has had the privilege to use her writing platform to give women voices who had none; the abused, the culturally silenced, the oppressed. Rebecca is overwhelmingly grateful that she can use her talent to tell the stories of these women’s strength, fortitude, and faith.

Congratulations Rebecca for being willing to step into the power of realizing that “Your Voice Matters” and opening the door for others who are on the path to recognizing theirs.

Congratulations to Rebecca Dollinger, ABWA’s New District 2 Vice President

Congratulations to Outlook Positive Express (OPEN) member Rebecca Dollinger on her election to District 2 Vice President of the American Business Women’s Association (ABWA). Rebecca has been a member of ABWA OPEN for 3 years, and while she has been a member for a relatively short time, she has made a huge impact within the Association. Rebecca earned the Woman of the Year award from OPEN, helped OPEN achieve Level 3 Best Practices while she was on the executive board, and traveled over 20,000 miles across 5 states with the message Your Voice Matters. During her travels, Rebecca helps countless women step into their personal power to take on the leadership roles they desire. Since that looks different for each woman, Rebecca ensures she takes the time to be present and truly listen to what each member is seeking. Only then is she able to help them access their internal boldness, launching them to the next step of their journey. The amazing thing is that by helping others, Rebecca also grows herself. Every skill she practices and hones as District 2 Vice President she can then apply to her business and personal relationships. This is what ABWA is all about…it is a grow YOU Association. On the campaign trail, Rebecca learned to be a better public speaker, sharpened her diplomacy skills, and expanded her professional network. She also helped her campaign team develop and improve their organizational skills, project management skills, and leadership development skills. Now that she has been elected, it will be exciting to see the new skillsets she will develop in herself and others. With her authenticity, vulnerability, and message of unity, there is no stopping Rebecca and her big plans for District 2 in ABWA. Congratulations Rebecca. ABWA OPEN is excited to sponsor you on your journey and help spread your message of unity starting right here in Dallas.
